- When S+V+O, S1+V1+O1
Ví dụ: When languages die out, the cultures traditions disappear from this world too
- While S+V+O, S1+V1+O1
Ví dụ: While a lot of students dropt out after a few years studying, others finish academic courses with exellent degrees.
- S+V+O, resulting in an increase/a decrease in + the number of something/the demand for something.
Ví dụ: A lot of people move to big cities, resulting in an increase in the demands for living places, food and services in urban areas.
- S+V+O, giving rise to something
Ví dụ: Advertisements bring people more choices on what they need to buy, giving rise to the consumer society
- By doing something, S + V + O
Ví dụ: By spending a lot of money protecting minority languages, governments can also preserve traditions, customs and behaviours.
- S+V+O, and this will +V+O.
Ví dụ: The number of private cars is increasing in Hanoi, and this will put a strain on its infrastructure.
- Instead of + Ving + O, S+V+O.
Ví dụ: Instead of driving cars or motobikes, people should use public transport.

- S+V+O. This allows/urges/encourage smth/smb to do smth (This will discourage smb from doing smth).
Ví dụ: The utilisation of cheap labour helps companies to reduce the production cost. This allows business expansion.
- Compared to those who +S+V+O, S1+V1+O1
Ví dụ: Compared to those who hold high school qualifications, university graduates often have more employment choices.
- If S+V+O, S+V+O
Ví dụ: If air travel is restricted, people would choose other means of transport such as buses and trains.
